Active tourism in Albuñuelas

Albuñuelas is the largest municipality in the Lecrín Valley. To walk through this town is to discover paths marked by history and to be intoxicated by the citrus groves and orchards that dot this little paradise to the south of Granada.

Albuñuelas-La Giralda-El Pinar Route: this is a long route that takes us through the mountains for 27 kilometres. The highest point is at La Giralda, a spectacular natural viewpoint at an altitude of 1431 m. from where we can admire La Silleta, Los Alayos, El Caballo, Sierra Lújar, Motril, La Almijara, Las Tres Lindes and Pozo Herrero. Las Albuñuelas-Las Tres Lindes route: this route is a beautiful immersion in the Albuñuelas mountain range. It is 26.5 km long, with a return trip and a difference in altitude of 630m. Route Albuñuelas-Los Callejones: the starting point of this route is the high square of Albuñuelas, which is a fabulous viewpoint over the rest of the Lecrín Valley. Los Callejones de Albuñuelas is a rocky gorge carved out by the river as it passes through the town. Along this path, as well as walking along the river bed, there will be moments of climbing, so the difficulty of the route is moderate. This path offers us the opportunity to discover a great diversity of flora intertwined with cultivated fields where orange trees, almond trees, vines and avocado trees are the real protagonists. In addition to these routes on foot, you can also do it on horseback. Contact Palmalí and rediscover this place to the rhythm of the trot of this beautiful animal.
